West Kernow Way Route Guide

Unlock the fascinating history and breathtaking beauty of the ancient kingdom of Kernow on this 230km adventure ride around the tip of Cornwall.

The West Kernow Way connects bridleways, byways, lost ways and quiet lanes into a challenging figure-of-eight loop exploring the highlights of west Cornwall, including the Botallack tin mines, the Bronze Age monument Mên-an-Tol, Land’s End, St Michael’s Mount and Lizard Point.

The comprehensive route guide is written by archeologist-turned-MTB-writer Guy Kesteven, and will open your eyes to the rich history and stories of the landscapes you’ll journey through.

The guide also includes practical advice and suggested itineraries to help you plan your trip, and detailed maps showing optional detours to make the most of your ride.

The development of the West Kernow Way route and guidebook has been funded through the EXPERIENCE project, which is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund through the Interreg VA France (Channel) England Programme.
